Lady Poetry Video Show!

Last night came and went, but the videos are forever. Well, probably. Barring a major electromagnetic pulse. But, until then, you can check out the StonePigeon.com video section for four videos of Molly Skerry and Heidi Therrien in action! The same videos are also, as always, mirrored on our Facebook group, which makes that whole EMP thing less of a concern. But I digress. Enjoy the videos!

Major video action!

Yesterday, Saturday October 3rd, a pretty awesome thing happened. Sargent Press and The Loaf and Ladle in Portsmouth hosted a book release party for poet Young Dawkins' "The Lilac Thief". If you missed it, we have the entire show up on the video section. You can also follow this link to the playlist of all 13 (!) videos, so you can watch it like you were there (or there again if you were lucky enough to attend):

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D3555B19C9943E49

If you are interested in purchasing Young's book for the scant price of $10 (for nearly 50 pages of poetry), please contact Sargent Press via sargentpress@gmail.com

New videos are not forgotten!

I forgot the blog entry that I traditionally do before the show, but certainly not the videos that follow our monthly extravaganza! So, right now on the StonePigeon.com video section, we have four hot clips from a couple of awesome sets, courtesy of Ayanna Gallant and Beau Williams! Chickity-check it out!

New videos are still drying off

The Lakes Region breeds a great multitude of poets, many furrier and heartier than us skinny and weak Seacoast-dwellers. Two of them, although they weren't that furry, came and rocked Portsmouth at The Stone Pigeon last night, and we have the videos to prove it!

Yes, I'm happy to say that the StonePigeon.com video section now contains six great examples of Gordon Lang and Kalee Burrows doing what they do best. Check 'em out and you won't be let down!

Stolen Camera = Beat Night Videos

At July's Beat Night, some punk kids named Heidi and Beau stole my camera and forced it to watch them do poetry. Ok, maybe that's only half true but the StonePigeon.com video section has been updated with four videos from these two great poets from one hell of a night at The Press Room. I didn't know the poem titles, so I just called them whatever I wanted. I'm sure they'll correct me later!

Videos are here, not dressed in brown

Videos from last night's Stone Pigeon are up, right here on StonePigeon.com under "Video". We've got videos of features Kim Triedman, Mike Nelson, a BONUS video of Mike Nelson covering a poem by Ryan McLellan, and one by Ed Pacht, the only audience member brave enough to consent to recording during the open mic. Or maybe everyone else just forgot to ask? What do I look like? A scientist?

Anyway, check out the videos. Quite a good show at the ol' solid bird last night.

The Face, The Blonde and The Baby

You might remember we had a little tech problem last month, and weren't able to bring you any videos from the show. That is certainly not true of this month! The StonePigeon.com video section now features almost nearly all of Lesley Kimball and Adam Shlager's entire set from last night! Ok, we missed one poem. But do check out the rest, and quake at their grandeur!

A Long Time Coming...

At last, there is video from the Music Hall Jazzmouth Extravaganza! Three poems, two by me and one by Cara "Rollergirl" Losier, are available on the StonePigeon.com "video" page. I ain't gonna lie... the quality isn't the best ever, but if you weren't in attendance or you just want to relive a small piece of an amazing night, this is the only way you're going to get to do that.

Special thanks to the intrepid Mark "The Colonel" Palos and his equally intrepid camera.

NH Slam Semi-Final

Last Friday in Manchester was the semi-finals for the NH Slam Team, and thanks to Charles Xavier, video of the complete second round is up! Check out his YouTube channel!

By the way, your finalists are: Ari Cameron, Beau Williams, The Colonel, Rollergirl, Ryan McLellan, Heidi Therrien, Summer, Matt Gallant, Matt Biondi and Chris Johnson.

Day after the show = hot new video!

Yesterday, we enjoyed the first Stone Pigeon of the spring with a great show starring Ryk McIntyre and Adam Barone. We have three videos from each of them, as well as a bonus video from the open mic hour, starring George Jack! As always, gentle readers, the videos can always be found at StonePigeon.com by clicking on "Video", and are also mirrored at our Facebook Group... which, by the way, if you're not a member already, please sign up! We just broke the 80 member barrier. Next stop, a cool 100, eh?

Anyway, enjoy the videos!

Crackskull's gets some attention

So, there's this wicked chill, roundtable-style reading that happens once a month. On the second Thursday of the month at Crackskull's Coffee and Books in Newmarket, to be exact. Great atmosphere. Really loose. Banter between and about poems. Good times, man. And... not enough people know about it. We're working on that.

As part of a project that's going to see these same performances running on Newmarket's public access television channel, we've got 8 spankin' new videos for you! These and more can always be found at StonePigeon.com, just by clicking on "video"!

Holy Jazzmouth!

The Sargent Press Jazzmouth Chapbook release party at The Press Room last night was packed to the gills with poets and onlookers alive. 15 poems were read by 13 poets out of the 4 chapbooks, and we have them all here. That's right! On StonePigeon.com, under the video section as always, you can see the whole darn thing if you missed it, or if you just want to live it again. This is history, kids! Eat it up and get yourself in the mood for the upcoming 2009 Jazzmouth Festival!

Charlie X and Rollergirl take no prisoners!

Another lovely night was had by all at The Stone Pigeon. Charles Xavier Lacerte and Cara "Rollergirl" Losier came over from Manchester and collectively spanked the lot of us with an absolutely treacherous performance. You should have seen the grandeur! Oh, wait... you can! Six videos of our two features are up in the StonePigeon.com "Video" section! Watch and be wowed.

Beat Night tore my face off

Beat Night at The Press Room last night sure was special. It kicked ass, and didn't care about names. It rode you hard, then demanded a cigarette and a sandwich. But most of all, it reminded everyone there that there are some supremely talented poets on The Seacoast, and many of them were in the room. To commemorate a great night in front of a jam-packed audience, we have SEVEN videos from Beat Night!

These include one each from the Slam Boet himself, Beau Williams, the always vivacious Heidi Therrien, part-time creature of the night Jonathan Stoker, the intriguingly hirsute Mike Nelson, plus three of me, as I was one of the featured poets on this fine evening. Ding ding! All aboard the Selfish Express!

Remember that these and all of our (now many) videos are always available at StonePigeon.com, and please check out our Facebook Group! Until next time...

Videos of The Colonel and Mckendy!

For those of you who weren't at The Stone Pigeon this past Monday, and for those of you that were and just want to relive some great performances, check out the six (ohmygodnowaysix!?) videos of Manchester poets and members of the 2008 New Hampshire Slam Team Mark "The Colonel" Palos and Mckendy Fils-Aime.

These videos, as well as many more from multiple venues, can always be found at StonePigeon.com, just click on "video". Videos from The Stone Pigeon at Breaking New Grounds can also be found on our Facebook Group.

Snow Day Videos from the 30/30 reading

Last night at The Blue Mermaid in Portsmouth was the first of two back-to-back readings for Blood on The Floor's 30/30 challenge. There will be another reading tonight (1-28-09) at Cafe on the Corner in Dover, 7pm.

But for now, we've got plenty of video to get you through this snowy Wednesday... EIGHT videos from the reading featuring myself, John-Michael Albert, Heidi Therrien, Cara Losier, Rachel Forrest and Daryl Frasch.

Until next time! And remember... videos can always be found at StonePigeon.com by clicking on "Video".

Yet more videos!

Three new videos added from Slam Free or Die @ The Bridge Cafe in Manchester, NH, 1-23-09. Featuring myself, Beau Williams and Charles Xavier Lacerte.

And don't forget there are plenty of other videos, always up at StonePigeon.com under "video", and you need to check them out if you haven't already.

We have a big week of poetry coming up with TWO readings of poems from the 30/30 challege. Check StonePigeon.com under "calendar" for times and locations of these shows and any others in the area. Because we got you covered.

I promised you video, I give you video

The video section of StonePigeon.com is up, running, and ready to do a little dance. Just follow the video link to see 5 new videos from Beat Night at the Press Room, 1-15-09 (as well as some older ones).

From here on out, video recording will be possible at all Stone Pigeon readings, as well as many other venues... you know, so long as I attend and have the pretty little Flip Mino with me. But if you would like a poem of yours recorded on StonePigeon.com, please let me know. Unless I'm inundated with requests, I'll be happy to do so. Videos taken exclusively at the Stone Pigeon shows will also be available on the the Stone Pigeon Facebook Group.

Questions and comments? Feel free! Otherwise, please enjoy the videos and have a fine, upstanding weekend.
